Two Faces Are Better Than One

I'm taking a little class and one of my assignments is to make my own Weekly World News cover. This is the image I've been manipulating for it. It is comprised of two photographs of my daughter which were conveniently similar except for the position of her head. Some careful selecting, copying and pasting and the second head was added in to the first picture. Then the trick was to make it look seamless. I found that the healing brush* was very useful for blending edges. The clone stamp tool helped fix up a couple little patches that I didn't select quite right. I think it looks pretty good. Now I just have to decide on which ridiculously fantastic headline I'm going to put with it. I'll show you the whole cover when I'm finished.

*I use Photoshop Elements 4.0. In my class we are learning Photoshop CS2, but I don't want to shell out the hefty sum of money to buy it for my home computer. I was almost going to buy the student edition which is still $300, but then I discovered that Photoshop Elements is remarkably similar and it only cost me $50. I do not have control over all of the same little details like you do in CS2, but I'm willing to live with that.
