Put On Your Thinking Cap for the Thursday Contest

Below you will see this week's puzzle piece. From it you must guess what the entire picture is of. You get one guess so make it good. Wild guesses are fun so don't be shy! You have until Sunday night(July 2nd) to guess. And yes, there is a "prize". If you win, you get a....drum roll please.... link on my site for one whole week (Hold yourselves back!)! On Monday I will announce the winner/s and post links to their sites, as well as put up the whole picture for all to see.

Is it easy? Is it hard? I don't know because I already know what it is! The question is do you know what it is?

This is a closeup of a fire hydrant and the chain that attached to the valve cap....YES!!!!!!!!

BTW, I added you to my link list and you didn't even have to work for it!!! How's that for a nice guy eh?

Wow, good one Dave. Don't think I've seen a yellow hydrant before. They're still red in my neck of the woods.

Thru simple deductive reasoning you can establish what this is. That's obviously a dog chain. The stenciled numbers are indicative of the military. So this logically must be someone taking their pet tank out for a walk. I've heard they are hard to teach to "heal". :)

While Jugger makes a compelling argument for the pet tank theory, I think I'll go with Dave's idea. I hope it's okay to give the same answer as somebody else. If only one of us can have the prize, just remember: Dave is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

Just to clarify, I think it's a yellow fire hydrant.

Well, I guess Dave is right. I had no idea before reading the comments. Was going to offer "chain to your bath tub plug"... ;)

How about some sort of anchoring station for a boat?

Its hard not to read other peoples comments but my first instinct on viewing the photo was that it was that thing used to tie the ship to the dock so that is what my answer is. I have to say though, the other guesses are quite good.

Not sure what the image is, but the thing used to tie a ship to the dock is a bollard. I don't think this is a bollard.

Tim says it's either a trash can or a bbq grill at the beach.
