This photo has two elements that I particularly like: rust and interesting wood.

Both elements make for great images. Nice capture.

Two of my favourite photo subjects as well. Nice shot!

It kinda makes my teeth hurt. Other than that, I like it!

Nice taken, I have a few niggles though :(

The crop is too tight on the tight.
Image seems a little flat, I always say the addition of a little contrast by using the curve tool or the contrast/brightness slider helps to add a little bit of depth yo a shot. I personaly prefer use of the curve tool.

Also have you tried converting this to monochrome using the channel mixer? Might actually work, or if you want your imagination to get the best of you, add some colour tones with the photo filter, and add a tiny winny little bit of noise :) Have fun

Sehr schöne Detailaufnahme; ich hatte einmal ein aehliches Motive und habe es nass gemacht. Du gluabst nicht, wie intensiv sich das Bild veraendert.

Rolf,
Ich habe nicht daran gedacht. Das müß ich das nächste Mal versuchen.

Suby,
You're a lot nitpickier than I am. And I think I tend to prefer a more natural look than you. However, some of what you suggest is useful. Thanks.

I like the tones in this Natalie. And I guess the weight and movement of the chain has done most of the damage to the bark - it adds life to the scene.
