Is Spring Around the Corner?

The snow which has covered the ground for so long is starting to melt away.

Here is a clump of dirty snow amidst the now visible grass which is surprisingly green.

One thing I never thought of before I lived in the snow is what happens to all of the snow that gets plowed out of the streets and parking lots. Well, it all ends up in really big piles that become so hard and compact that you could cause serious damage to your car if you were to run into one. This is all that's left of the once gigantic pile of snow next to our mail box.

I never thought about that, either, and I definitely never expected the dirty snow to look dirtier every minute as the ice melts away.
