Illinois is where I'm at.

We are staying in a northern suburb of Chicago for the summer while my husband does an internship. I've spent most of my life living in southern California, so Illinois with all of its water and birds and critters is new to me. I have to say that I like the idea of living in a state that doesn't have to import water from elsewhere. We were visiting my friend down in one of the west suburbs and there were bunnies hopping around from yard to yard. This is a whole different scene for me.
The company has provided us with a nice furnished apartment while we are here. Out behind my building is a nice pond where the Canadian geese like to hang out. These guys are everywhere. I'm told they walk around like they own the place because they know people aren't allowed to hurt them.

Hey Nat,

HAven;t been here in a while and am enjoying all the photos you posted. excellent as usual. Deerfield huh. I'm about 45 - 50 miles south of you. Might have to contact you and have your family over since I am missing mine. I have to fill you in on the IL weather motto, What, you don't like the weather now??? What 5 minutes, it'll change. If ya'll ever get downtown, let me know. I can get you and your family complimentary passes to the Shedd Aquarium. Just shoot me an email.
